Breaking News: Our planning application has been approved!
Following years of hard work and determination, we have been granted planning for the Unique Kidz’s centre extension and landscaping project that would transform our building and outside spaces!
We are over the moon and want to thank everyone for their support in making this possible – from the team here, our young people and families, and to HPA Architects and Laurel Truscott, who designed and planned the project.
Most of you will already know, but we have outgrown the building and land so this new project would allow us to take on more disabled young people, expand our services, and provide more accessible spaces, meaningful activities, and opportunities for everyone.
The outside space would be transformed to incorporate an accessible play area, cycle track, sensory gardens, growing garden, and two specialist lodges, and the Unique Kidz building would be extended, with a new internal layout, to allow increased capacity and new spaces, such as sensory rooms, therapy suites and an accessible kitchen.
Today we celebrate this good news! Tomorrow, we get to work on seeking strategic funding partners to support us in the delivery of this project and consulting with HPA Architects on the next stages.
And as always, we’ll be reaching out to businesses, individuals, and communities for their support too, so we can move forward with our exciting development.
